(Q) Does cremation destroy DNA?
(A) DNA is destroyed by high temperature. The ash from a properly conducted cremation will not contain any DNA. It can't. The heat of cremation is far too high to permit any living material that is exposed to it to survive. When remains are fully cremated, only the ash is left. This may not be entirely true of a body burned on a pyre, unless sufficient fuel is added to permit the long bones and joints to be completely burned, though not necessarily to ash.
The problem with incomplete cremation can be looked at like a problem in sterilization, a process wherein germs and such are killed on things like band-aids, surgical instruments, etc. Heating the materials to boiling plus a bit more and holding them there for a short period allows the heat to dissociate proteins, and that's what kills "bugs" during sterilization.
(Q) My sister was involved in a car crash, and she lost her unborn child. The autopsy report revealed she was 18 weeks and 1 day pregnant. A wrongful death suit has been filed for the loss of her child, however, there is a question of who the father is. My sister chose to have her stillbirth cremated, and I was wondering if there was a way DNA testing could be done since the baby was cremated. If so what are the options?
(A) I want to offer sincere condolences to your sister and your family. I wish I could offer you a more hopeful answer but unfortunately, the high heat of the cremation process destroys DNA. This means it is extremely unlikely that you would be able to make an identification of the father through DNA testing of the ashes. When a cremation is properly performed, the heat is extreme to the extent that no living material exposed to the heat can survive it.
CREMATION
Cremation completely destroys the unique code which the Creator entered into a body when He formed it out of the earth's elements. Therefore, depletion of the mineral content in our bodies may have something to do with epidemics like Sugar-Diabetes and other diseases that destabilize human body's chemistry. But I am a witness of many heavenly interventions in cases like instantaneous healing of cancers, vanishing tumors and a complete restoration of those that were dying.
How does God do it? The key is DNA. God sees your unique DNA, which is the Creator's code therefore He did not allow to cremate the deceased.
In Judaism it is forbidden to cremate the dead, and therefore I am for the Jewish Orthodoxy which upholds this truth mitzvah holy commandment. In resurrection DNA is raised, but what about a burned with intense heat bodies. Therefore cremation is wrong.
[Genesis 23:15-16] “My lord, listen to me; a piece of land worth four hundred shekels of silver, what is that between me and you? So bury your dead.” Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, commercial standard.
Many people cremate their dead because of the expense. Those who hold on to the ashes of their loved ones, after cremation, hold on to nothing, but only a memory. The imprint of that person's identity is lost in the high heat fire, but is it also lost forever? All markings of the diceased and all memory is lost, the ash is only an ash.
[2 Peter 3:10-12] But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!
Why?
[Isaiah 65:17] For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.
However, those that plan to cremate themselves hate themselves by destroying that which God made to outlast time.
SPIRITUAL DNA
God is Spirit (John 4:22-24) God's DNA might be Jesus, but His bones are not in a grave. A translated body, as it was the case with the body of Jesus, contains a unique identity Deoxyribo-Nucleic Acid. If that is the case than the spiritual body of an overcomer also has DNA.
The counterpart of Deoxyribo-Nucleic Acid is the human soul. Genesis 1:26 portrays the creation of souls. Genesis 2:5 & 7 speaks of the creation of DNA. One is spiritual and the other physical.
DNA is the genetic material of a cell. The chromosomes inside the nucleus (control center) of the cell are made of DNA. Lots and lots of DNA. It is very fine and tightly coiled, but there may be as much even as a meter in a single cell.
DNA is a code and it is divided up into sections. These sections are genes, which carry all the instructions for making up our body. Each gene is a code for a particular protein. Our bodies are made up of proteins. So the genes dictate how we are made and what our bodies look like.
So here comes the question of a horse and a wagon, which one is first? The wagon does not pull the horse, does it? First was the spiritual DNA - soul - then came the shell (Hebr. klipah), which encloses the spiritual DNA.
God has the spiritual DNA, which is His love and graciousness "But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous" (Matthew 5:44-45).
God's DNA is in His seed (Mat. 13:38) the sons of God, even the peacemakers (Mat. 5:9). Genes can change through repentance where they no longer carry the war properties but peace. Peace means healing, restoration, the character of heaven. Hence, "My peace I give to you, not as this world gives." MY kind of PEACE, said Jesus, so it is you who should never let anything to trouble your heart; and it is you who ought to never let fear in, how? - By maintaining that heavenly peace (John 14:27).

Each one of us contains both DNA's the spiritual as well as the physical. We are called to be God's mirrors on earth. We were never meant to die. We were never meant to deal with any illness, but our ways brought us only gross accumulation of evils that plow us down.
My teaching, which is not mine but God's, will change your DNA just as it has changed mine. Embrace God's ways, for why would God send me your way?
